myBrand Challenge Team: Robotics

As part of the Robotics Challenge Team at myBrand, I was actively involved in exploring how Robotic Process Automation (RPA) could be leveraged to automate SAP-related processes. Our goal was to assess the capabilities of both SAP’s native RPA toolset and third-party solutions such as UIPath. We identified practical use cases, evaluated business impact, and shared our findings with internal stakeholders through a formal presentation to management.

We also brought our research into practice at one of our clients, where we addressed a critical challenge related to testing constraints. The client’s limited resources meant that only unit testing was typically performed, which often led to production issues due to untested dependencies.

To solve this, we implemented automated regression testing using RPA:

  • I was responsible for designing and mapping the regression test scenarios, identifying high-impact flows that would benefit from automation for their warehousing solution (SAP Extended Warehouse Management)

  • Working closely with an RPA consultant from Capgemini, I helped translate these test flows into automated scripts in UIPath, enabling the client to perform full regression tests at the push of a button.

  • The standardized scripts provided a scalable and repeatable testing approach, significantly reducing manual effort and minimizing the risk of post-deployment issues.

This initiative not only improved the quality and reliability of the SAP system, but also allowed the client to reclaim valuable time and resources for other critical tasks.
